Do you need an attorney? What are your legal rights and options for a specific situation? What remedies are available to you? How can your legal dilemma be resolved? At Schern Richardson Finter , we are convinced that an initial consultation with us can shed light on these questions. We generally conduct these consultations in our office, but if necessary, we will conduct telephonic consultations or come to your home or place of business.
What will we provide to you at the consultation? An honest, straight-forward, and unbiased assessment of the strengths and weaknesses of your case. An analysis of what we can or cannot do for you. An opinion of whether your case is worth pursuing or defending. An estimated cost to you to obtain the result you are seeking.
What do we expect of you at the consultation? Evidence. We want to see all relevant documents that pertain to your case. We want to know the chronology of events behind your case. We want you to identify all parties and witnesses in your case. Generally, we would like to know these parties and witnesses prior to the consultation so that we can run a conflict check to ensure that, in our mutual best interest, we are able to take your case.
Please note that an initial consultation establishes an attorney/client
relationship only as to matters discussed in the consultation. A consultation
alone with Schern Richardson Finter does not result in you becoming
a client of the firm. Following the initial consultation, in order for
you to become our client, and for us to become your attorneys, a representation
agreement must be entered.
